The Biology Student Handbook is provided as a guide for Biology and Biochemistry students at North Central College. Its contents include:
- degree programs and research opportunities
- guidelines for reports and presentations
- literature searching and information sources
- graphing and basic statistics
- laboratory procedures used in many courses
Printed, bound copies are available at nominal cost in the North Central bookstore. We strongly encourage every student to purchase a bound copy. The handbook is more than 90 pages long, and printing out individual copies will needlessly waste paper and increase the printing costs of the Biology Department and the Science Division. We are making the handbook available online so that students can access revisions that were made after they purchased their copies, or to permit online viewing in case a printed copy is not available. Please use this online resource wisely.
