Todd is Director of Natural Areas at Cornell University. Tonya received her PhD in Biological Sciences and has taught ecology and evolution for several years. Tonya and Todd are the proud parents of big sister Shannon and little brother Colby.

Phyllis completed a master's degree and then continued to medical school. After completing a fellowship in rheumatology at Northwestern University she joined Bone and Joint Physicians orthopedics group in Oak Lawn, Illinois.

Liane pursued a graduate degree in Organic Chemistry at Iowa State University.

Shawn completed his MS in Environmental Science in December, 1999 and now is a Fish and Wildlife Biologist working for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in the Chicago Illinois Field Office. Shawn primarily provides technical assistance and reviews federally funded projects to ensure that they avoid, minimize, or compensate impacts to wetlands, fish and wildlife, migratory birds, and federally endangered and threatened species. Julie graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine in 2002 and is currently a resident in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Northwestern Memorial Hospital (Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago).

Colleen (Caldwell) Schwartz (Biology, 1992)

Colleen is practicing podiatric medicine and surgery at the VA Palo Alto Health Care System in California. She completed her surgical residency at the VA Palo Alto and Stanford University Hospitals in July 1998. Research interests include wound healing and the diabetic foot. In September 1998, she and her husband Adam Schwartz gave birth to a baby girl. Adam is a staff scientist at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.

Tonia is an assistant professor of Biological Sciences at Mount St. Mary's College in Los Angeles. She teaches courses in Cell/Molecular Biology and Nutrition for nursing, one lab course (2 sections), and has a research/journal club for her own lab. All this in addition to the usual advising majors, committees, etc. Tonia and her husband Michael are living in Santa Monica.
