There are many options for nursing careers with different levels of responsibility. You can become an LPN, an RN or an NP (nurse practitioner). All nursing careers require certification from a nursing school.

- Get a part-time job or an internship at a local hospital, or be a volunteer
Life after NCC:
- After 2 or 3 years at North Central, apply for admission to a nursing program
- An BS in nursing and RN certification usually require 2 years in a nursing program
- Additional training may be needed for specialties such as surgical nurses or nurse practitioners
